• The smartphone that you are about to update needs to be on a rooted firmware, it should run a custom Recovery, too.
– the installed custom Recovery has to be updated to its latest version, so that it supports the latest Android 5.1.1-based custom ROMs.
•Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding.
•Check the battery charge level and make sure that it is over 50%, it prevents the Galaxy S5 from powering off during installation.

÷ How To Install CM 12.1 Stable Android 5.1.1 ROM for Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5:
1- Download the CM 12.1 SNAPSHOT ROM from here.
2- Download Gapps for Android 5.1.1 ROMs from here.
3- After the download is done you can transfer both files to your phone’s internal storage.
– do not unzip the archived files.
– get to the next step after you’ve moved the files, but make sure to disconnect the phone from PC.
Switch off your Galaxy S5 now.
4- Next, boot it in Custom Recovery Mode.
5- First you need to create the NANDROID Backup ROM:
– CWM: select ‘backup and restore’.
– TWRP: select ‘backup’.
– set a name for the file, confirm process.
6- Apply the ‘factory reset’:
– CWM: select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’.
– TWRP: select ‘wipe’.
– confirm factory reset and get to the next step when you’re done with it.
7- Start the CM 12.1 Installation process:
– CWM: select ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’.
– TWRP: select ‘install’.
8- Now, browse your phone’s internal storage for the CM 12.1 ROM file.
Load the ROM file.
9- Confirm the CM 12.1 Android 5.1.1 installation.
After the ROM is flashed you can install the Gapps zip in the same way.
Reboot your smartphone in normal mode after all the new files are successfully installed.
