The official stable builds of CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM are now live for all the LG G Pad 8.3 users. You can follow the instructions listed in this article in order to learn how to successfully update your device with a brand new Lollipop custom ROM.
The CM 12.1 ROM is based on the latest AOSP Android 5.1.1 Lollipop builds. Check the CyanogenMod blog page here for more info on this new release.

÷ Prerequisites:
• Use this post only with the LG G Pad 8.3 tablets.
– the model number of your tablet has to be “v500”.
• Do not try to update any other devices with the files that you will find in this post.
•Your tablet’s firmware has to be rooted and a custom Recovery has to be installed on it too.
– the TWRP or CWM Recovery that’s installed on your device has to be upgraded to its latest version, so that it supports the latest Android 5.1.1 installations.
•Check the battery charge level of your tablet before starting the update, it has to be over 50% in order to prevent the device from powering off while you’re flashing the new ROM.

÷ How To Install LG G Pad 8.3 Android 5.1.1 using CM 12.1 Stable Release ROM.
1- Download the CM 12.1 release and Gapps for Android 5.1.1 ROMs .
2- Move the files to your tablet’s internal storage.
– after the files are copied you can disconnect the phone from PC.
– don’t extract the files.
3- Switch off your phone and then boot it in Custom Recovery Mode.
4- First you have to backup the installed ROM:
– CWM: select ‘backup and restore’.
– TWRP: select ‘backup’ menu.
– set a name for the file and confirm process.
5- ‘Factory Reset’ your tablet:
– CWM: select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’.
– TWRP: select ‘wipe’ options menu.
– confirm.
6- Start the CM 12.1 SNAPSHOT ROM install:
– CWM: select ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’.
– TWRP: select ‘install’.
7- Find the ROM zip file and confirm the flashing process.
8- After the CM 12.1 is installed you can flash the Gapps zip too.
– use the same instructions as in step 7 in order to find the Gapps zip.
10- Reboot your tablet in normal mode after all the new files are installed.
These were all the steps that you had to take in order to complete the flashing process of your device.
