Android 5.0 Lollipop OS is already OTA available for your Lenovo A6000. However, the firmware is being rolled out in phases and in limited markets only (for the moment), thus not all the smartphones will receive the Lollipop notification at the same time. That’s why maybe you will prefer to manually download the OTA on your computer so that you can manually install it on your A6000 through recovery mode – well, that’s exactly what we will be checking during the following guidelines.

÷ How to Update Manually Lenovo A6000 with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS :
1- On your computer download the Android 5.0 package from here.
2- Save the file on desktop and don’t unzip it.
3- Connect your Lenovo smartphone with your PC with the help of the USB cable.
4- Transfer the Lollipop package on your phone’s SD card.
5- Disconnect the devices when done.
6- Power off your phone; wait a few seconds and then enter recovery mode: press and hold (at the same time) Volume Up and Power buttons for a few seconds.
7- From the main menu of recovery select the Update option and pick the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware file.
8- Then, follow on screen prompts and resume the update operation.
9- When done, from main menu of recovery select “reboot system now”.
10- If your Lenovo A6000 will get stuck into a boot loop, access recovery mode once more and this time select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
