Well the ROM is based on stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. However, what you have in front of you is a modified and optimized Lollipop system as the ROM comes with features, apps and processes that cannot be found on the default Android system or on the stock Cyanogen and Oxygen software. Therefore, with the Exodus firmware flashed, you can experience an improved and customized version of the Lollipop platform, right on your own OnePlus 2.

Backup your data before doing anything else – do note that the backup is not an optional process. You see, since you will replace the stock firmware with a custom one, on the update process you will also have to hard reset your OnePlus 2 andclear app data cache from your phone – else, the Exodus Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS will not run properly.

÷ How to Update OnePlus 2 with Official Exodus Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Custom ROM Firmware:
1- From your computer navigate towards this page and choose the last firmware built for your OnePlus.
2. Also, download Google Apps package as this file must be installed separately on your phone.
3- Save both files on your computer, preferable on desktop, but don’t unzip anything.
4- Plug in the USB cord and establish a connection between your smartphone and your computer.
5- Now, transfer the downloaded files on your phone’s SD card; when done, remove the USB connection.
6- Up next, you need to power off your handset; do so and then enter recovery mode on your OnePlus 2.
7- Once in recovery, head towards the main menu from where select “wipe data factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvik cache”.
8- Next, from the same main menu of recovery choose “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card”.
9- Pick the Exodus custom ROM and resume the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update process.
10- Don’t forget to flash the Google Apps package on your OnePlus Two in the end.
11- When done, go back to recovery and select “reboot system now”.
Good job; you can now test and use the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Exodus custom ROM firmware on your own OnePlus 2.
