The Best Android apps is a weekly series started today on Android ROM Fix™® where we talk about the best new Android apps that have emerged during the past week, and we can talk also about old apps that got a big and major updates.

1- Work Folders :

Work Folders is a location where you can store work files and access them from all of your PCs and devices, even when you’re offline.

To use Work Folders, your workplace has to enable your account first. After your account is enabled, you can set up the Work Folders app.

3- JorSay :

Shake your Wear-wearing wrist and make your phone read notifications aloud!

With JorSay, your phone reads the incoming notification aloud if you ask it to, just by shaking your watch. It eliminates the need of scrolling and swiping around on the tiny screen of the watch - actions that require using both hands, while you could be in the middle of something else, like driving.

JorSay is customizable. You can select the apps it would read notifications for, whether to use maximum volume for reading notifications, and whether to 'skip' Shake Detection using Android Wear and read notifications aloud as they come in. You can also configure the Shake intensity and how long the app should listen for the Shake. Even more customization options are in the pipeline.

JorSay is smart. It doesn't read notifications from your music player or other ongoing operations. It doesn't read notifications posted with minimum priority - like Google Now weather updates. If it fails to register a Shake, you can still trigger 'read aloud' from your watch - just say 'Start notification reader' to bring up the app and tap on the JorSay button. Moreover, it supports Ambient Mode - you can quickly get back to it even after your watch screen turns off.

JorSay is transparent about its operations. It doesn't have ads, it doesn't use your personal information for any unintended purposes. It is open source - the code is available at https://github.com/ckulkar/mocha17-dev with a MIT License.

7- Locker:

Protect your phone - Limit unlock attempts.

Concerned about loosing your phone and worried someone might figure out your unlock code and access your personal information? Locker is here to keep you safe.

Locker is as simple as it is brilliant. Specify the number of allowed attempts to unlock your phone. If the number of attempts exceeds this number the phone will be wiped and erased, protecting your personal information.

While Android does not offer the option to restrict the number of device unlock attempts directly, there is a device administration API that allows such a policy to be enforced through third party applications. This is exactly what Locker does.

Locker activates and enforces the security policy that will trigger a full system wipe when the specified number of unlock attempts have been exhausted. Depending on what lock screen application you are using the user will be presented with warning messages when the number of remaining attempts is 4 or less.
