÷ How to Update Huawei Ascend P7-L12 to B831 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop EMUI: 3.1.

Compatibility: This firmware is for the P7-L12 variant with C900 market number only! You’re going to need the stock KitKat recovery to apply this update.

Step 1: Download the firmware package from above and extract it using 7-Zip or any other compression utility.

Step 2: Connect your Ascend P7 to your computer in MTP or mass storage mode. Format its external microSD card in FAT32 filesystem.

Step 3: Copy the extracted ‘dload’ folder to the root (top level) directory of the microSD card. Oh yeah, don’t forget to take a fresh backup of your apps and data stored in the internal memory before starting the installation.

Step 4: Now open Settings > Updates > Local Update. Tap the update package and install it.

Step 5: Your phone will automatically reboot into the recovery, verify the firmware compatibility and flash it.
