Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910C Official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update brings a major Android version update to the Galaxy Note 4. TouchWiz has also been tweaked to include new functionality for the S-Pen and the overall UI. All these things surely are awesome but some Android enthusiasts want their phone to be rooted so they can push the limits and use it at it’s optimal pace. If you are one of those, this guide is just for you. Below are steps that you have to follow in order to root your Note 4 successfully on XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 firmware.

÷ Prerequisites:
•This root method tutorial is only for Note 4 SM-N910C. Please do not try on any other Note 4 LTE variants.
•Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding as a precaution.
•Your Note 4 should be on an official firmware by Samsung, not a custom ROM.
•Your phone should be on XXU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 firmware.
•You need to have a custom recovery installed on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910C before proceeding below.
If you have fulfilled all the requirements above, then proceed to the actual tutorial.

÷ How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910C Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Official XXU1COH4 Firmware.
Step 1 – Download SuperSU Root (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip) for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910C to your computer.
Step 2 – Connect your Galaxy Note 4 to your computer using the USB cable.
Step 3 – Now copy/paste the downloaded UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip file to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the SD card root (not in any folder).
Step 4 – Then turn OFF your phone and disconnect from the USB cable.
Step 5 – Now to get in the Recovery Mode. Switch ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power buttons together.
Step 6 – Once you are in the Recovery Mode, scroll down to “flash zip from SD card” and press the Power button to select it.
Step 7 – Press the Power button again and select “choose zip from sdcard”.
Step 8 – Now using your volume keys, navigate to the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation should start now.
Step 9 – After the installation completes, go to main recovery menu and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now“. Your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will reboot now!
That’s it. Your Note 4 has now been rooted on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with SuperSU package. Check for the SuperSU app in your apps list to verify.
