Moto G4 Plus sets that were already rocking Android 7.0 build are in for another update, that installs the December security patch on the device. Sadly though, the new OTA update is also based on Android 7.0, and note Android 7.1.1 which many of you would be hoping for now.
The latest update ups the software version of the Moto G4 Plus to NPJ25.93-14, and is already available for download too. The update also fixes the issues with notification tone, while improving system stability of your Moto G4 Plus. The update is sized around 114.8MB.
Being OTA download, you would need to have stock recovery installed, which is a concern for those who has installed TWRP recovery. The base version required for successful installation of the December patch update is NPJ25.93-11, which is your Moto G4 Nougat update.

÷ How to Update Moto G4 Plus to Nougat 7.0 December patch NPJ25.93-14:
1- Download Moto G4 OTA Version NPJ25.93-14 (114.8MB)
2- Setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
3- Download the OTA update .zip file on your PC and rename it to ota.zip.
4- Enable USB debugging:
Go to your phone’s settings » About phone » and tap “Build number” Seven times. This will enable Developer options on your phone.
5- Now go to Settings » Developer options » and tick the USB debugging check box.
6- Connect your phone to PC.
7- Now open the folder where you downloaded the OTA update .zip file and then open a command window inside the folder. To do that, do a “Shift + Right click” on any empty white space inside the folder and select “Open command window here” from the context menu.
8- Now issue the following window to command window to reboot your device into recovery mode:
adb reboot recovery
└ Check your phone’s screen, if it asks for “Allow USB debugging”, accept it by selecting OK/Yes.
9- Once in recovery mode, use Volume buttons to navigate up and down between options and Power button to select an option.
10- Select the “Apply update from ADB” option.
11- Now issue the following command to finally begin installing the OTA:
adb sideload ota.zip
└ This will begin the OTA installation.
12- Once the OTA zip is installed, select reboot from the main menu of recovery.
