•Your Note 5 should be on an official firmware by Samsung, not a custom ROM.
•Your phone should be on XXU2AOK7 Android 5.1.1 firmware.

÷ How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 5 N920C On XXU2AOK7 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Official Firmware :
Step 1 – Download SkyHigh TW custom kernel Package for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to your computer and extract the zip file.
NOTE: Copy the file to the root of your phone for easier access.
Step 3 – Disable or remove Samsung KNOX from your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Step 4 – Install Synapse App and Super SU App from Google Play Store.
Step 5 – Enable “Developer Options” by pressing multiple times on the Build Number shown in the About Device menu.
Step 6 – Enable OEM Unlock from Developer Options.
Step 7 – Switch OFF your phone. Now go to TWRP Custom Recovery. How? Press and hold the Volume Up + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Press Power again to confirm to enter into Download Mode.
Step 8 – Click on Install Zip and hopefully, you will find SkyHigh TW Kernel listed on the root of your phone where you previously copied it to.
Step 9 – Once selected, confirm the install and wait till you have the option to reboot.
Step 10 – Open Synapse again, go to File System, Wipe Cache & Dalvik-Cache Reboot just to clear any few remnants.
That’s it! Your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has now been rooted on Android 5.1.1 official software update. Check for the SuperSU app in your apps list to verify.
