÷ How to install Huawei Ascend P7 (L10) Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update (stable) based on Emotion UI 3.1 via OTA
Note: Your device needs to be running the B623 KitKat firmware in order to be able to install this update.
Download Link: Click here to download B830 Lollipop for Ascend P7.
Step 1: After installing B623, download the update.zip package to your computer from the aforementioned link – don’t extract it.
Step 2: Connect your P7 to the PC and delete the previous Update.app file from the dload folder.
Step 3: Now, copy the downloaded Update.zip OTA package to that “dload” folder.
Step 4: Finally, disconnect the USB cable and go to Settings > Updates > Local Update. Choose the update package and confirm its installation.
Step 5: Your phone will automatically reboot, enter the recovery mode, perform verification checks and flash the update.
Step 6: You can also apply this OTA directly from the stock recovery. After copying Update.zip, boot your phone while holding Vol up + Power till you enter the recovery. In the recovery, select apply update from sd card, choose the update package and install it.
